Introduction
At Obelo, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an Obelo account, we collect information such as your name, email address, company name, and payment information.
Brand Assets
You may upload brand assets including logos, images, fonts, and color palettes. These assets are stored securely and used solely to generate content for your account.
Usage Data
When you use the Obelo application, we collect certain information including your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns to operate and improve the service. This public website behaves differently, and the next section describes it precisely.
This Public Website
Until you explicitly allow analytics, browsing useobelo.com sets no analytics cookie, creates no analytics identifier, and makes no analytics request. Analytics here is opt-in, versioned, and reversible from the Analytics control in the footer of every page.
If you allow it, we store random visitor and session identifiers, send a fixed, published event set to Obelo's own server, and load Google Analytics 4. Google may set pseudonymous _ga cookies and receives one broad page category per navigation, plus standard browser/device and network information such as the IP address used to make the request. GA4 may also generate standard session and engagement events using that same sanitized page context. Obelo disables Google advertising storage, advertising personalization, Google Signals, Enhanced Measurement, granular location and device collection, and user-provided data collection. Google still receives standard browser, device, and network metadata as the analytics processor. Neither analytics path receives your name, email address, company, message, scorecard answers, full URL, query string, dynamic path segment, transfer token, or account or organisation identifier. Withdrawing consent stops future events and clears the analytics identifiers, campaign tags, and accessible Google Analytics cookies from this browser; it does not remove previously aggregated reports.
Declining changes nothing about how the site works, and a refusal is never transmitted — we do not record that you declined anywhere but in your own browser. The full list of what is stored and what is sent is in our cookie policy.
If you contact us or join the waitlist, the details you submit are processed to answer you — that is separate from analytics and happens whatever your analytics choice is. Campaign attribution is only attached to a contact request if you tick the optional box on that form.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- →Provide, operate, and maintain our services
- →Generate AI-powered content based on your brand assets
- →Improve and personalize your experience
- →Communicate with you about updates and support
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or your content. We share information only with the categories of recipients below, and only as needed to operate the service:
- →Google Analytics, which processes the limited public-site measurement described above only after you opt in. Obelo configures user-level and event-level retention to two months and does not reset user-data retention on new activity; standard aggregated reports may remain longer. Google may process data internationally and relies on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
- →Service providers (subprocessors) who process data on our behalf under contract: cloud hosting and storage providers, our AI model providers (including Anthropic) which generate content from the material you provide, our payment processor (Polar), and our transactional email provider (Resend).
- →Members of your workspace or organization, where you have chosen to collaborate or share content with teammates or clients.
- →Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Obelo, our users, or the public.
- →Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Google User Data
If you connect your Google account, Obelo requests a limited set of permissions so you can bring your own documents into your workspace and export content back to Google Drive:
- →drive.file - access limited to the specific files you open or create with Obelo through the Google Picker. Obelo cannot see the rest of your Drive.
- →Basic profile (email address and name) - used to identify the connected account.
We use Google user data solely to provide these import and export features at your direction. We share Google user data only with the subprocessors listed above that are strictly necessary to provide the feature (for example, our cloud hosting provider to store a document you import, and our AI model provider to process content you choose to work on). We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to third parties except as described here. You can disconnect Google at any time, which revokes Obelo's access.
Obelo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures including:
- →Encryption of data in transit and at rest (AES-256)
- →Regular security audits and penetration testing
SOC 2 Type II — Planned. Audit window targeted for Q4 2026. Current compliance status for every standard is maintained on our security page.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at sales@useobelo.com.
